Noise Problem and Solution

There is noise in my data that is affecting the strain rate value.  What can I do to minimize this type of noise?   

First, I would make sure that there are absolutely no loose connection points between the Strain Gages and the Instrument input ports (i.e. no wire nuts, no crimp connectors, etc…).

All connections should be soldered and coated/protected from environmental humidity.

Next, I would suggest making a data run w/ the Excitation set to 0 Volts.  This will help us to understand what noise you’re actually seeing from local electrical devices.

Lastly, you can try making a data run w/ the filters on, to see if it eliminates your noise issue.
