Medical - I.V. Bag Weighing

The Coronavirus pandemic is stretching hospital staffing to the limit.  Micro-Measurements strain gages help shoulder the load.

As ER and ICU staff are working the front lines during this pandemic, the patient load is stretching many hospital staff to the limit.

The use of strain gage based sensors helps to lighten the load just a bit.

Critical care patients are on I.V.s for critical fluids and medication.  Nurses must be ever vigilant to make sure the I.V. bags have sufficient fluid supply to ensure patients receive an uninterrupted supply.  Micro-Measurements full bridge strain gages are used in I.V. bag weighing transducers, which constantly monitor the weight of the fluid so the system can alert staff when it reaches a critical low level eliminating the need to constantly check the level manually.
